Terms of Service

1. What Goreel does

Goreel is a social media content service for local businesses. It uses AI to make photo posts, stories and short narrated videos from your photos and business details and, when you approve them, publishes them to your TikTok and Instagram accounts on your behalf. It also shows you how your posts perform.

2. Acceptance

By creating an account or connecting a social media account to Goreel, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

3. Your accounts and content

You keep ownership of your TikTok and Instagram accounts and of everything you upload (photos, logos, menus, prices, product descriptions). You grant Goreel a limited licence to use that content to make, show you and publish posts for your business.

You confirm you have the right to use what you upload, and you are responsible for making sure the posts you approve follow TikTok’s and Instagram’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.

Posts Goreel makes for you are yours to use, including after you leave Goreel.

4. Authorisation to post

When you connect a social media account, you allow Goreel to publish posts you have approved to that account and to read its performance statistics. Goreel never publishes a post you have not approved. You can withdraw this permission at any time by disconnecting the account in Goreel or in TikTok’s or Instagram’s own authorised-apps settings.

5. AI-generated content

Goreel uses third-party AI services to make your content, including Anthropic (Claude) for ideas and captions, OpenAI and fal.ai for images and video, and ElevenLabs for narration. AI output can be inaccurate, unexpected or unsuitable. Prices and phone numbers in captions are taken from the details you give us, so keep them up to date. You must review every draft before approving it. Goreel is not liable for content you approved or downloaded.

6. Subscription

The monthly subscription covers your weekly scheduled posts and occasion posts. It is billed in advance through our payment provider and is non-refundable except where the law requires. Without an active subscription, Goreel does not make scheduled posts (your first free post aside).

7. Video tokens

• One token pays for one 5-second video clip. A video made in the Create tab uses one token per photo (3 to 6 photos). Tokens are sold in packs and do not need a subscription.
• Tokens are taken when a video starts. If it fails, they are returned to your balance automatically. If a video uses fewer clips than were set aside, the unused tokens are returned.
• Tokens have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, and are non-refundable once bought except where the law requires.
• Rejecting a finished Create-tab video is final: no free replacement is made, and a new video uses new tokens.

8. Rejecting scheduled posts

If you reject a scheduled post, Goreel makes one replacement, using your note. A post that is rejected twice is not remade, and its slot stays empty. A post you have downloaded, or cleared as an old draft, counts as used: it does not get a replacement.

9. Refer a friend

Each business has a referral code. The first time a business that signed up with your code pays for tokens or a subscription, you get one token, once. Referral rewards are tokens only, never cash. We may withhold rewards that come from abuse, such as referring your own accounts.

10. Price changes

We may change prices with 30 days’ notice. A change never affects tokens you have already bought or a subscription period you have already paid for.

11. Acceptable use

You must not use Goreel to:

• Post content that breaks any applicable law or platform policy
• Spam, mislead or harass anyone
• Upload photos or material you do not have the right to use
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or misuse the service
• Resell or sublicence access to the service without our written consent

12. Service availability

Goreel depends on outside services, including TikTok, Instagram, our publishing partners, our AI providers and our payment provider. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or that a post will publish at an exact time, and we are not liable for outages or decisions made by those services (for example a platform limiting a post’s reach or removing it).

13. Termination

You may stop using Goreel and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, as set out in our Privacy Policy. Unused tokens are lost when an account is deleted.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Goreel’s liability for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to the fees you paid in the 3 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including lost sales.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will email you at least 14 days before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use Goreel after that date means you accept the change.
